Mehmet Remzi Dokmeci

Mehmet Remzi Dokmeci  received his B.S. (with distinction) and M.S. degrees from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, all in Electrical Engineering. His doctoral dissertation was titled “Hermetic Glass-Silicon Micropackages and Feedthroughs for Neural Prostheses”. Following graduation, he has worked for a MEMS foundry for 4 years developing microelectromechanical systems based products for the telecommunications and life sciences industries. He was then a faculty at northeastern university developing carbon nanotube based flexible devices and nanosensors on CMOS chips. He has 83 journal articles, 110 conference publications, 4 book chapters and has 4 patents. He is interested in the field of micro and nanoscale sensors and devices and related applications to biomedical devices, tissue engineering and implantable biosensors. He can be reached at or
